Since October 2026, Beck’s Mühle has been opening its doors exclusively for celebrations and events. Whether companies are gathering for a Christmas party, summer festival, or anniversary, or families are celebrating a baptism, confirmation, or birthday, the mill provides the perfect setting for every occasion. We will work with you to coordinate the rooms and catering, ensuring that on the day itself, you only have to be one thing: the host.
For parties of 40 to 80 guests, the interior of Beck’s Mühle provides the perfect setting where everyone will feel at home from the very first glass. You have three areas at your disposal: your group can gather in the cozy dining room on the ground floor, enjoy views over the ramparts from the second floor, or, during the warmer months, take advantage of our terrace, which offers an additional 140 seats in a lush, green setting. In summer, Beck’s Mühle can accommodate up to 220 guests. From standing receptions to formal seated dinners with catering from our own kitchen, just let us know your guest count and we will suggest the ideal room layout for your event.

And this piece of Bremen has a long history: the mill was built in 1833 according to the plans of master millwright Berend Erling. Numerous windmills once stood on the bastions of the city fortifications; today, the Beck’s Mühle is the last one remaining. It even survived the Second World War largely unscathed, and grain was still being milled here until 1947. In 1998, it underwent extensive restoration in accordance with the State Office for Monument Preservation, featuring new sails, a new gallery, and two lower floors converted for gastronomy. This is exactly where we welcome you and your guests today.
The mill is designed for celebrations with 40 to 80 guests. In the summer, our terrace provides an additional 140 seats, allowing you to host up to 220 guests. This makes the mill in Bremen the ideal event location for corporate events such as Christmas parties or anniversaries, as well as private events like birthdays, confirmations, and baptisms.
When you book the mill, it always comes as a complete package including the venue, catering, and service. Unfortunately, bringing your own or using external catering is not possible. This offers you a major advantage: everything is handled by one source, our event team knows the mill inside and out, and you have a single point of contact for all matters.
If you have a specific date in mind, the earlier you inquire, the better. Early inquiries are especially recommended for events during the Advent season and around the holidays. We are also happy to review last-minute requests on an individual basis.
Yes. We can arrange room blocks for your guests at nearby partner hotels, within walking distance of the mill if desired. Simply let us know when you make your inquiry.
The mill is centrally located at Am Wall 212 in Bremen's city center, within walking distance of the Old Town and the main train station. Tram and bus stops are just a few minutes away. Parking is available in the surrounding parking garages.
